The towbar is used for towing and steering the aircraft by attaching to the aircraft's Nose Landing Gear (NLG) and being pulled by a tow tractor. The towbar primarily consists of a cylindrical steel body. At one end of the towbar is a lunette eye which connects to the tow tractor. At the opposite end of the towbar is a mechanical head assembly which connects to the aircraft NLG. The towbar is mounted on an articulated undercarriage with a hydraulic pump and a retract spring which raises and lowers the towbar. The Stanley 212000 and 212030 towbars are used for towing B767 B777 A330 A340 DC-10 and MD-11 aircraft.

The lunette eye is equipped with a shock absorbing mechanism to reduce the shock load on the NLG. At the opposite end of the tow bar is a mechanical head assembly which connects to the aircraft NLG. The tow bar is mounted on an articulated undercarriage with a hydraulic pump and a retract spring which raises and lowers the tow bar. 

The Stanley tow bar is equipped with a shear pin. Designed to break under excessive load the shear pin will fail before damage to the aircraft can occur.

The Stanley 200470 towbar is used for towing and steering the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) (B737) by attaching to the aircraft's Nose Landing Gear (NLG) and being moved by a tow tractor. The towbar body consists of a cylindrical aluminum body. At one end of the tow bar is a lunette eye which connects to the tow tractor. At the opposite end of the tow bar is a mechanical head assembly which connects to the aircraft front landing gear .

There are two configurations:

P/N 200470-1 B737 Stowable Towbar is used with Boeing BBJ aircraft.

P/N 200470-5 B737 Stowable Break-Apart Towbar is used with Boeing BBJ aircraft.

The Stanley Part Number 110505 Engine Shipping Stand is designed specifically for transportation,ground handling, and bootstrapping of PW 2037 Engines used on Boeing 757 aircraft. It is used inconjunction with the 110506 Cradle. The "1 and "701 configurations are basically similar, the major difference being the shape of the rails. The "90 configuration is also similar, with the majordifference being the distance between the rails. The "1 and "701 rails are 88 inches apart andthe "90 rails are 90 inches apart.The 110505 Stand rides on locking swivel casters and shock mounts and is equipped with atowbar. The casters are shock-absorbing and may be mounted at either of two heights. The lowerposition provides one inch clearance for engine installation and removal, and the upper positionprovides five (5) inches for towing. The casters may be stowed on the stand for shipping. The aftcastors are equipped with locking brakes. The shock mounts prevent unwanted vibration or shockloads from being transmitted in the engine during handling and shipping. The towbar may beattached to either end of the stand.

The Engine Cradle is designed to remove install and/or transport Pratt & Whitney 4074 through 4098 engines. The Cradle also provides engine bootstrap capability. It mounts for transportation purposes to the 180059 Air/Truck Shipping Stand the 180060 Truck-Only Shipping Stand or the 180110 Pneumatic Trailer.  The Engine Cradle Assembly has large work/access platforms removable engine mounts aft engine mount stanchions and forward tombstone adapters. It also includes bootstrap locations on the cradle with shackle provisions for right- or left-engine operations.

This Engine Shipping System is designed specifically for transportation ground handling and bootstrapping of General Electric/SNECMA CFM56-3 engines used on Boeing B737-300 aircraft. It is composed of the 110701-1 Stand and the 110702-600 or –1 Cradle.

The 110701-1 Stand rides on locking swivel casters and shock mounts and is equipped with a towbar. The casters are shock absorbing and may be mounted at either of two heights. The lower position provides 1” clearance for engine installation and removal and the upper position provides 5” for towing. The casters may be stowed on the Stand for shipping. The aft casters are equipped with locking brakes. The shock mounts prevent unwanted vibration or shock loads from being transmitted in the engine during handling and shipping.  The towbar may be attached to either end of the Stand.

The 110702-600 Cradle provides unique port and starboard forward engine mount spindles and a single aft mount stanchion. Forward mounts are equipped with a spherical bearing for engine attachment. The aft mount is pinned. It is intended for low speed (3 MPH (5 KPH) or less) ramp and hanger smooth surface use only and can be used with the engine bootstrap equipment to install and remove CFM56-3 engines. The Cradle may be equipped with removable casters (-610) legs (-620) or both legs and casters (-630). The legs and casters are pinned to the cradle. The 110702-1 Cradle has neither casters nor legs.

The 110733-1 and –501 Cradle Assemblies are no longer in productiontherefore the drawings and Parts List are included for reference and to assist with parts ordering only.

The 111325 Engine Cradle Assembly is designed for air or truck shipping of the General Electric CF6-80C2 aircraft engine. This cradle is designed with three different variations in order to accommodate different aircraft:

111325-1 is used on Airbus A300-600 and Boeing B767 aircraft.
111325-2 is used on Airbus A300-600 Boeing B767 and McDonald Douglas MD11 aircraft.
111325-3 has improved engine mount assemblies that can be retrofitted to the –1 and –2 configurations. This cradle is used on Airbus A300-600 Boeing B767 and McDonald Douglas MD11 aircraft.
All cradles are equipped with roller shoes to enable roll transfer between stands and trailers with rails on 90 inch (2.3 meter) centers.
