The engine handling system is not designed for air or truck shipment. The AM-2760 Air/Truck Shipping Stand must be used for air or truck shipment. The cradle pins securely into place quickly and easily. The dolly consists of a steel welded frame with commercial running gear. Each axle accommodates a tow-bar, with parking brakes provided on the aft axle only. The tire size is 9.00-10 10 ply (27 inches in diameter). Maximum towing speed is 10 MPH.

The AGSE-E031 Pneumatic Tire Dolly is designed for local site/work area transport of Pratt & Whitney V2500 engines in full QEC configuration. It is used in conjunction with the AM-2228 Cradle. The cradle pins securely into the place quickly and easily.

The Pneumatic tire Dolly consists of a steel welded frame with commercial running gear. Each axle accommodates a tow-bar, with parking brakes provided on the aft axle only. The tire size is 9.00-10 10 ply (27 Inches in diameter). The maximum towing speed for the dolly, cradle and engine is 10 MPH.

The stand is fabricated from structural steel shapes conforming to ASTM A500, A513, and A36 materials. All bolted connections use A325 structural bolts or SAE Grade % commercial hardware. Unit is primed and painted with high-grade, Skydrol resistant enamel, with color optional. Pins and miscellaneous hardware are manufactured from corrosion resistant materials, or plated as required.

The Stanley V2500-D5 Engine Cradle is designed for use with the IAE V2500-D5 engines used on McDonald Douglas MD90 aircraft. The Engine Cradle is composed of the Cradle and Roller Shoe Assemblies. When combined with a shipping stand these components facilitate ground and air transport of the V2500-D5 engines. This manual provides operational and service instructions for the Stanley V2500-D5 Engine Cradle.

The cradle features:

The AM-1361 Air/Truck Shipping Stand is designed for transport (on air ride truck and trailer ) of the Pratt and Whitney JT8D-209/217 jet engine. The stand consists of two major assemblies; the base and the cradle which are connected together through shock mount assemblies. This supports the load at the forward and aft yokes. Engine pins securely into place quickly and easily. Bootstrapping capabilities are available if specified. A document container is secured to the base for all manuals and documents.
The natural frequency of the suspension system has been designed to fall in the range of 7 to 10 Hz as specified by the Pratt and Whitney PPS 1717B dated 15 July, 1981. Each stand is equipped with a set of 18 inch riser adapters for engine build-up of accessory items.
