This unit is designed to transport components to/from work and installation locations in a safe and secure manner. Unit offers a fiberglass cover which is water tight and secured in place on a metal fabricated base assembly. Document storage receptacle and view port included. Hoist rings (4) are built into the top of the fiberglass cover and are to be utilized in removal/installation of the cover. Interior structure consists of many segregated pockets or receptacle areas to facilitate safe and proper support of items. Fan Blades, Fan Blade Platforms, and Blades have designated storage pockets, each identified by sequential number. This will keep all components in a recognizable and immediately accessible removal and/or installation format. Special foam is incorporated in several areas of this container to help secure individual components as well as safe-guard and cushion these items.

The Fan Rotor Spinner is securely attached to a specially designed vertically supported Ring Mounting Plate. This mounting plate is removable (secured by two quick release ball-lock pins) from its storage support weldment location to help in the  installation/removal of the two spinner components. Both forward and aft sections of this component are to bolt securely onto the Ring Mounting Plate.

The Basic Roll-Over Stand - 11C3359P02 (AGSE-E184-G02), is specifically designed to be compliant with the GE requirements and is suitable for both (1) height restricted air or (2) truck/trailer shipping mode.

The stand (with engine in rolled position) is suitable for air transport on the main deck of B747 or B777 freighter aircrafts only in axial orientation. The stand includes a self-contained manual jackscrew for rotating the cradle and engine at 53° to achieve the minimum height and width to pass through the large side cargo door.

Several external components/assemblies must be removed to maximize door clearance. These components are listed in GE Engine Transportation Manual and are stored in container 11C3417.

The AGSE-E082 Universal Shipping Cradle consists of a steel welded frame with removable ground handling mounts compatible with the Trent 500 and Trent 700 Engine in modified QEC configuration. The mounts attach to the Core Intercase and Rear Turbine Housing. Tubular arms support the engine handling mounts. The aft mount supports pivot and react only vertical loads. The cradle pins securely to the base in either the air ship (lowered) or truck ship (raised) position. The mount supports fold to minimize empty shipping volume, and allow for stacking the empty stands. Multiple configurations of the AGSE-E082 are available. The -G01 and -G07 include only Trent 500 ground handling mounts. The -G02 and -G08 include only Trent 700 ground handling mounts. The -G03, -G09 and -G10 include mounts for both engines. -G01, -G02 and -G03 have an adjustable diagonal brace where the -G07, -G08, -G09 and G10 have a fixed length diagonal brace.
The AGSE-E079 Shipping Base consists of a steel welded frame with integral shock mounts to dampen ground handling shocks and vibrations when transporting the full engine. A manually driven ball screw system allows the cradle to raise and lower (depending on air or truck shipment configuration). A96 x 125 inch pallet with relief cutout for fan case clearance is included. Retractable shock absorbing casters are included with stand. The base contains fork channels located to allow fork lifting with the engine in the truck shipping position only (fork lock-outs cover the pockets when the cradle is in the air ship position). Two containers (one for spare ground handling mounts and the other for the drain mast and documents) are secured to the base.

The AGSE-G029 in-line gantry system gantry system is designed for the overhaul of aircraft engines. It consists of one assembly line and one disassembly line connected by an interlocking transfer crane and tooling hanger return system. Four storage bay location are included on as part of the tooling return system which may store parts of complete engines.
Each assembly or disassembly line has one AM-1653D single bay type gantry located at the entrance and exit. The gantries are designed with a suspended three rail lift frame with powered vertical travel for engine removal. Rail ends have powered interlocks to allow transfer of workstation hoists and suspended tooling from the fixed work station and tooling return system. Once the engine is transferred onto the system at the gantry station it is moved onto the fixed rail work station line with over all length for four engine over haul stations.
The disassembled engine components or complete engine suspended on tooling beams may be transferred onto the transfer crane system. This system is approximately 156 feet in length with two horizontal traveling cranes. Each crane may interlock with the assembly and disassembly lines, storage bays, and the fixed rail tooling return rails. Complete engines or component parts may be transferred to the fixed assembly line rail system. This system is designed with a fixed line assembly work stations with a vertical traveling gantry at the end engine loading onto transportation equipment.

The 9C6025P02 (AGSE-E102-G02) Transport Stand is designed to:

1. Transport, tow and store the General Electric GE90-94B propulsor only, not full or RFI engines.
2. Transport, tow and store the General Electric GE90-115B series propulsor, full and RFI engines.

Recommended: the automatic air lift system (PPK) is recommended for your maintenance operation - 9C6025P02-PPK.

The stand consists of a base (AGSE-E107-G01) and an engine support structure, cradle (AGSE-E108-G02). The cradle separates from base for bootstrapping for engine change. The cradle may be raised or lowered to accommodate transport and or fan separate/mate requirements. Integral to the base are four (4) jacks for leveling, stabilizing and raising the stand to retract casters. The jacks are operated by manual hydraulic pump. Integral to the cradle is a hydraulic cable lift system operated by manual pump and/or optional air-operated hydraulic pump.

Configuration for Transportation and On-wing Installation and Removal of Engine:

Customers are recommended to select the complete set of tools to facilitate both transportation of full engine and installation/removal of engine from the wing.

The Self Erecting, Air Transportable, Gantry Type Split Engine Transport System was first pioneered by AGSE in 1973. This system enables an airline to ship a spare engine in the lower forward cargo compartment of a regularly scheduled, wide body passenger or freight configured aircraft with a 96 inch or wider door. Split system may also be transported in any of the narrow body, main deck freighters. This method of shipment is used for moving a serviceable engine to an aircraft which has experienced an engine failure, and it has been determined, not to be economical to ferry the aircraft. This system is also utilized for movement of spare engines from the engine manufacturer or overhaul agency to the airlines main operating base or line station where pooling is planned. When examining the costs of chartering an aircraft or paying for pallet positions for shipping the engine upright, it will be seen how the gantry type split engine system can pay for itself in very few shipments.

When shipping the split engine of propulsor and fan case, components that must be removed are stored and shipped in the container. 9C6028 GE90-115B Fan Blade Container

The GE 9C6028 Fan Blade Shipping Container is designed to accommodate the fan blades of the GE90-115B engine. It is used in conjunction with the 9C6031 Split Engine Components Container that houses those sections. The unit is designed to transport the fan blades to/from work and installation locations in a safe and secure manner. The unit offers a fiberglass cover which is water tight and secured in place on a metal fabricated base assembly. A Document storage receptacle and view port are included.

The AM-2805 Low Profile Shipping Stand is designed to transport, and/or, store the IAE V2500-A1/A5 Engine in a modified QEC Configuration.

The design complies with IAE Specification IAE6R19438. The stand is designed to ship the engine in a height restricted air shipping mode. With the inlet cowl and exhaust nozzle removed, the engine stand (with engine) can air ship in DC8-55 Aircraft. With the inlet cowl and exhaust nozzle installed, the engine stand is compatible with DC-10, MD11, and B747 Freighters. The engine pins securely into place quickly and easily. Bootstrapping capabilities have been incorporated into the stand design. A document container is secured to the stand for all manuals and documents.

AM-1940 (replaced by AGSE-T073) CFM56 Inlet Cowl Dolly

The AM-1940 Inlet Cowl Dolly was designed to support the B737-300 thru –800 engine inlet cowls during installation and removal. AGSE still supports spare parts for customer with the existing AM-1940 dollys.

The AGSE-T073 is the redesigned version of the AM-1940 (no longer available). Structurally it is the same and the T073 includes the upgraded screw jack drive that would be integrated to both.

Three configurations were available: AM-1940-100 for CFM56-3, AM-1940-138 for CFM56-7, and AM-1940-400 for both CFM56-3 and CFM56-7. The stand folds to minimize empty shipping volume and is shippable in the lower cargo compartment of B737 Aircraft. The inlet straps securely into place quickly and easily. Leveling jacks are included on the dolly to accommodate various engine heights.

AM-1042 RB-211 Engine Workstand

The AM-1042 workstand is designed for use with the AM-1007 workstation, in the overhaul shop. The stand provides access to the I.P. compressor at the front of the engine or to the I.P./L.P. Turbine Module and H.P. Systems Module at the rear. The stand takes the place of the splitter duct platform and is adjustable in height to work with a variety of equipment. A gate is provided at the rear of the stand to allow entry and exit of the tools and engine modules.
