The AM-1013, No. 2 Engine Service Stand has been designed to provide full access for servicing, component change and if necessary, complete engine change on the DC-10 aircraft.
The platform has been sized to provide full walk around clearance to the engine, with the cowl doors open and turbine reverser deployed. In addition adequate space is provided for storage and auxillary work areas.
Primary considerations has been given to human factors and to this end an attempt has been made to provide the broadest coverage with maximum flexibility.
The AM-1013-1 No. 2 Engine Service Stand is designed to provide a towable access stand for both ramp and hanger use on the DC-10 aircraft. Care has been taken to provide access to all service levels on the aircraft, in this area, including complete engine change. Planned work areas are provided to ensure adequate space and provide all around clearance to the engine.
