This shipping fixture allows GE90 operators to transport the core module of the engine without the LPT.
This stand is virtually the only solution to ship the core of the GE90 engine without the LPT short of separating the booster from the LPC which adds many costly hours of delicate work.
The AGSE-C060 GE90-94B and -115B Shipping Stand is designed to transport, and/or, store the GE90-94B and -115B core engines (with fan hub/booster module). The stand is compliant with all
applicable General Electric specifications. The core engine pins securely into place quickly and easily. It can be shipped on the main deck of the following Freighter Aircrafts:
A300F, A310F, A330F, B707-300F, B727F, B737-100/200F, B737-300/400/500F, B737NGF, B747F, B757F, B767F, B777F, DC-8, DC-9, DC-10F, MD-11F, C-130, L-100, AN-22, AN-124, AN-225,
The stand consists of an inseparable base and cradle assembly. Integral air/truck shipping shock mounts (also referred to as silent blocks) are mounted between the base and cradle to cushion
air/truck shipping vibrations and shocks. Each shock mount is certified for safe usage in circumstances of 7 to 10 Hz. Truck transport of the core engine installed in the shipping stand requires
that an air-ride tractor and an air-ride trailer be used.
The AGSE-C060 stand consists of a steel welded frame with removable engine ground handling mounts compatible with the GE90-94B and -115B engines. Tubular arms support the engine handling mounts.
