The GEnx-1B/2B Sling is designed to lift the GEnx-1B or GEnx-2B bare engine or modified QEC configuration while in the AGSE-E131, E132/E133 or E166 stands. The sling attaches to the forward hoist points and the aft hoist points on the bases The lifting ring on the sling is adjustable to allow CG adjustment side to side while the the aft cables are adjustable in length to facilitate CG adjustment forward and aft.

The AGSE-L018 Universal Sling consists of main center plate with two (2) fixed length legs forward, and two adjustable legs aft. The sling assembly includes a storage container that may also be used for air/truck transport. The single point lifting ring is adustable by use a machine-screw jack. An extended speed handle is provided to allow CG adustment from ground level.

The sling is fabricated from structural steel shapes conforming to ASTM A500, A513, and A36 materials. All bolted connections use A325 structural bolts or SAE Grade 5 commercial hardware. Unit is primed and painted with high-grade, Skydrol resistant enamel, with color optional. Pins and miscellaneous hardware are manufactured from corrosion resistant materials, or plated as required.
