AGSE bridge type gantry systems have been designed specifically for the overhaul of aircraft engines. Each station (bay) consists of a tri-beam load frame with vertical travel of 105-inches (2667 mm). The center beam of the load frame has two powered hoists of 10-Ton and 5-Ton capacity. Hoist and load frame travel control is provided by a single-track mounted pendant station, or at the main control panel. These hoists are mounted on their own power driven trolleys that enable the hoists to traverse the length of the load frame. The load frame is supported at it ends by main support beams suspended on column mounted jackscrews. A single electric motor driven driveline provides rotation power to each jackscrew and maintains a constant rotation speed. The drive system incorporates two torque limiters to protect the drive shaft and screw jacks from exceeding the manufactures rated capacity. Electric rotation speed sensors are included to monitor the driveline rotation speed in the event of component failure. The operator manually controls the vertical operation of the gantry travel, with the maximum and minimum travel controlled by electronic limit switches. Work area lighting is provided by eight incandescent lamps mounted to the gantry support super structure.
AGSE also offers required hanger tooling for engine suspension during overhaul operations, (must be specified at the time of purchase).
